OUR TEAM

At Faux Design Studio we provide three distinct, yet integrated services. Through our contracting business, we specialize in finding the perfect fit of color and technique for our clientele.

In the Faux Design Studio of Decorative Arts, we take the lead in sharing our field experience with students ranging from inspired homeowners to professionals.

Through our retail facility, we supply clients and students with the full line of Faux Effects International® Gold and Silver label products and a full line of professional faux finishing supplies and tools. Decorators can check out faux finishing sample boards for their client's through our showroom of thousands of sample techniques.

OUR INSTRUCTORS

SHERI ZEMAN, OWNER – FAUX DESIGN STUDIO
Nationally recognized, Sheri Zeman is an industry leader with vision and a true passion for faux. Taking on the complete redesign of Faux Design Studio from a former fire station, Sheri used her design flair to create the perfect 5,000 sq. ft. showroom for cutting-edge finishes

Sheri makes strides in the field by respecting traditional finishes while defining a road map to faux’s future. She continues to challenge her skills by combining her product and design knowledge.

Her sought-after “Innovations in Faux” educational program gives designers a new awareness to faux possibilities not imagined just a few short years ago. Sheri is currently developing national educational programs to share these techniques with other professionals.

This wealth of knowledge is passed on to students at Faux Design Studio’s School of Decorative Arts. Sheri oversees the contract painting business, teaches classes on faux finishing and oversees the Midwest distribution of the complete line of Faux Effects International products.

The work of Sheri and her Faux Design Team has been featured on several episodes of HGTV programs, numerous publications, and high-end residential and commercial properties.

CASEY CARLSON – INSTRUCTOR
As owner of Finesse Interiors, Casey Carlson has perfected his skills in residential and commercial environments. His ever-growing elite clientele includes professional athletes, popular restaurants, salons, and homes across the country.

Casey uses design to incorporate many different aspects of his painting to transform spaces. He brings his wealth of knowledge into the classroom to share with students. Focusing on continuing education, he stays on top of the latest techniques and trends and likes challenges that keep him advancing in this ever growing and constantly changing business.
